Registration
Registration procedure:
- Complete the registration form.
- Payment is made at completion of registration form.
- The link for uploading your video files is shown after successful payment and sent by email.

Please ensure that the video files are uploaded before the final video submission deadline. Please check calendar for exact date. Non-submission by the deadline will disqualify the candidates, and received payments will not be reimbursed.
Results
Announcements
The results will be announced on the FIBC website and social media. See "Announcement of Results" date in competition calendar.
Certificates
All participants participating in the competition will receive an electronic certificate of completion.
Winners
Winners will be selected for each category based on highest overall attained score in the respective category. There is a TOP 3 placing (3rd, 2nd and 1st places).
Special prizes
The jury will decide on the special prizes (scholarships, summer intensives, online masterclasses, and professional photo shoots).
The jury's decision is final and without appeal.
Categories
The competition consists of 43 categories numbered #101 through #143.
Participants may compete in various categories and are limited to one entry per category.
Exception: "SOLO" may have two entries per participant,
whereby the two entries must be of different dances. For the final result, only the highest
scoring dance
will count.
The 43 categories are formed via a combination of three sub-categories:
- AGE DIVISION
- DANCE CATEGORY
- DANCE STYLE
AGE DIVISION

The participants' age is determined as of January 1st, 2026. In the case of group dances, the age of the oldest participant is determinant.

DANCE STYLE
| CLASSIC/NEOCLASSIC DANCE | The dance must be based on classical elements.
If you choose a classical variation from the Repertoire List, the choreography must differ from the original version. Available for all AGE DIVISIONS. |
| CONTEMPORARY/MODERN DANCE | Any contemporary/modern dance of your choosing. The dance steps must differ from classical dance elements. Available for all AGE DIVISIONS. |
| CHARACTER DANCE/FOLKLORE | Dances can be strongly based on classical or other elements that highlight
cultural heritage or folklore. Available for all AGE DIVISIONS. |
| BALLET REPERTOIRE |
The choreography must be the original variation from a dance in the Repertoire List. Please note that any dances with modifications to the original variation should fall under the "Classical/Neoclassical Dance Style". Females on pointe. Available only for

POINTE SHOES
It is strictly forbidden for girls under 12 to compete in pointe shoes for safety reasons. There is an option for the dancers in the JUNIOR AGE DIVISION (aged 12 to 15) to optionally decide if they want to compete in pointe shoes. SENIOR AGE DIVISION (16 and older) must wear pointe shoes to compete.

Video and music submission guidelines
To participate in the contest, please adhere to the following criteria when submitting your video files.
Video requirements
- The video file must be in MP4 format.
- Streaming videos are not allowed.

Submit a separate video file for each dance and category.
If participating in multiple categories, separate video files must be provided. - Recordings should not be older than 12 months prior to the Competition date. Please check calendar accordingly.
- How to name your video file for upload: Category Number + Name of Dance + Dancer Full Name

The maximum time limit for each video file is:
- - 3 minutes for the SOLO, DUO and TRIO dance category.
- - 6 minutes for the GROUP dance category.
- - 8 minutes for the PAS DE DEUX dance category.
Video performance criteria
- The video must show a single live performance without edits or cuts. The entire performance should be captured in one continuous take.
- Video recorded at other competitions will not be allowed.
- Only one round/performance should be included in a single video file.
- Use of image-enhancing filters is not allowed.
- The audio must be live, and captured during the recording without any enhancements.
Video content requirements
- The video should begin at the start of the dance and end after the dance.
- The dancer(s) must wear the appropriate dance costume or outfit for the performance.
- The video should only feature the participant(s) relevant to the category selected.
- Please name the file with the name we will provide you with during the registration process.
Video best practices
- Ensure the room is well-lit so the dancer is visible.
- For best results, use a tripod to stabilise the camera. If a tripod is unavailable, place the camera on a stable surface. If handheld recording is necessary, ensure the camera remains steady.
- Avoid zooming in or out during the recording.
- Position the camera centrally (if possible) to capture the entire dance area.
- Adjust the camera angle to fully cover the performance space.
- Strive to recreate the feel of a live performance as closely as possible.
Music submission
- Participants are free to select the accompanying music.
- The audio recording must be clear and of good quality.
- Participants are responsible for checking that accompanying music selected is not subject to copyright.
Scoring system
Each dance is scored separately by three jury members. The final score is the average of the three scores. Each Jury will score each dance on a scale of 0 to 100 (maximum). The score is composed of five equally weighted sub-criteria carrying 20 points each.
- Musicality (maximum of 20 points)
- Technique (maximum of 20 points)
- Presentation (maximum of 20 points)
- Choreography (maximum of 20 points)
- Expression (maximum of 20 points)
Total achievable points: 100
The Jury's scoring is deemed as final and is not contestable.

Participants will receive a detailed analysis of their performance, including corrective feedback (where necessary). Special emphasis is placed on the technical aspects of the presentation, as well as recommendations from the jury members. You will receive an in-depth evaluation across five judging criteria: Musicality, Technique, Presentation, Choreography and Expression.
